The first SCIFI accelerator launched during the Connected and Smart Cities Conference in Brussels on the 17th January 2019.

At the launch startups, businesses, Universities and the cities of Delft, Bruges, Mechelen and St Quentin came together to start a six month ‘Smart City’ solution development process.  The Cities’ 6 challenges were presented and the startups and business pitched their solutions. Dmitri Van Baelen, from the City of Mechelen said “After a lot of preparation, we are ready to rock this journey together, learn from each other, have fun and create solutions!”
